CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL of our Studio SOLOISTS, DUETS, & TRIOS!!! Such a FUN competition!! ALL the Utah Solo, Duet, and Trio Competitors were so AMAZING!! Good Job to everyone, and GOOD LUCK on your future competitions/performances!!!

THANK YOU directors for encouraging your soloists, duets, and trios to come be part of our Studio Solo Championship!!! It was amazing having you all represented by such incredible dancers:-)

OVER-ALL SOLO CHAMPIONS…… YOUTH CHAMPION 2012 – Mackenzie Erickson (Synergy), 1st runner-up Halle Pobanz (Infinity); JUNIOR CHAMPION 2012 – Emry Wride (Studio Showcase USA), 1st runner-up Mikele Katsanevas (independant); SENIOR CHAMPION 2012 – Malece Miller (Infinity), 1st runner-up Vashti Reed (Center Stage)!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! WAY TO GO!!!

UTAH STUDIO SOLO Competition is HERE!!

So excited for this year’s Solo Championships!! We have such a great representation of sooooo many wonderful studios in UTAH that have sent their talented soloists to us for this event. We, also, welcome duets and trios this year!! Our solo, duet, and trio competition will be held Friday, Feb. 10th at Juan Diego High School (auditorium). Start time is 5:00pm, performers must check-in 1 hour prior to their performance time. Schedules will be emailed out on Monday. We want this to be a special night for everyone!!! Ticket prices are $6/person. Professional photographer DC Snaps will be taking professional action shots of every dancer!! NO OUTSIDE PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED – no cameras please. See you soon!!

Miss Drill Utah pageant is HERE!! Feb. 9th (thurs) at Juan Diego High School (auditorium). Park and enter on the West or South side of the school. Preliminaries start at 4pm. Finals and MDDTU Show starts at 7:30pm. Tickets for entry are $10/adult, $8/student & Senior Citizens. Entry prices are good for entrance into BOTH preliminaries and final competition. This is going to be such a special afternoon and evening for these contestants!! We hope you’ll all come join us!! Drill Teams coming t watch and support their soloists get a dixcount entry price of $5/drill member. Just be sure to arrive together as a team and wear your team warmups. See you all soon!!!

We are so excited for this year’s Miss Drill Utah Pageant!!! Now is the time to get registered!! We need soloists from every classification – 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5a – to represent their school and their team. There is NO limit as to how many soloists sign up from any one school, but we want every school in the state represented!! Soloists who are not yet 16 yrs. old by Feb. 9th can sign up for the “TEEN Miss Drill Utah Pageant”!! It’s so much fun!! We are here to help in any way we can. Don’t hesitate!! Get signed up NOW!! Exciting news!! We are now offering Duets and Trios as part of our competition!! Just fill out the registration form as a duet or trio and still fill out all the proper information that we need on that form. Remember that ALL competitors need to have a liability form filled out prior to competing (signed by a parent/guardian). This is going to be a fun and rewarding night for everyone involved! Miss Drill Utah Clinics Success!!

MDDTU September Clinics went fabulous!! Thank you to all the dancers and parents that attended. We are so thrilled to have had such a wonderful response from everyone. Our goal is to, again, have every classification represented!! If you missed out on the Sept. clinics – don’t worry, because we are also holding a MDDTU clinic following the All-State tryouts on Nov. 1st. 1A,2A,3A All-State tryouts will be held at Juab HS starting at 3:00pm. 4A,5A All-State tryouts will be held at Taylorsville HS starting at 5:00pm . The MDDTU clinic will be for ANY and ALL soloists (even if you are not an All-State nominee) immediately following the tryouts. Contact us to register for the clinic and we will text and/or email you the details.

All dance soloists are invited to compete in Utah’s annual Solo Competition!!! This event is different from any other solo competition. Every dancer is recognized, recieves a gift, and a special award of excellence. We make this evening a special experience for everyone. Excellent judges, Helpful critiques & feedback on your performance, Professional photography & video footage of every dancer, Beautiful facility, Friendly staff and Positive atmosphere!!! You don’t want to miss out!! This is your opportunity to “shine” as a Soloist!! This is a solo competition, where Utah Soloists can come share their talent and passion for dance. MDDTU Clinics are all in Sept. You won’t want to miss out on learning about this amazing dance opportunity. This pageant is for all soloists in ALL classifications. This pageant/solo competition is for any eligible drill team member (Freshmen-Seniors). At the clinics we will help you prepare and understand all you need to know about this amazing event. You can go to our Facebook page to see fun comments and photos of last years’ event. We invite all soloists to come participant. We want every classification represented at this year’s pageant. Your school/team deserves to be represented, so come and make them proud!!! We are here to help educate you and your parents about the Miss Drill Utah program. Contact us if you have questions. The clinics cost $10 for each clinic. You only need to attend 1 clinic, but you are more than welcome to attend more than 1 clinic if you desire:-) Dates are listed below. We hope to see you there!!
